Ruby Sear

Ruby Sear is a British Actress, Painter, and Model from Southend-on-Sea, Essex. A self-taught artist, she first began painting at sixteen while completing her GCSEs, creating a self-portrait as a clown that sparked a lasting connection to painting as a form of self-expression and an outlet that grounds her and brings her to the present moment.
At sixteen, Ruby left school and moved alone to Los Angeles, supporting herself through modelling and working in bars and restaurants while continuing to paint. During this time, she worked at a distinctive, creative restaurant and bar in Hollywood, where she found a strong sense of community. She felt inspired and accepted by the eccentric characters around her began painting the owners, and regulars, capturing the characters and relationships that defined that period of her life.
Ruby hosted a exhibition in Silver Lake, inviting friends, family, and the people who inspired the work.
Sear's style is characterful and whimsical, she enjoys painting eccentric people and scenes that are full of different walks of life in everyday fly on the wall moments and memories.
